My life will be busier because I signed up for Medical Coding courses and now need to carve out time in the day for that. So personal time/space is even more important. Space to me means maintaining my nightly meditation routine and having done downtime after working all day.
That nightly routine sounds key. And I suspect you’ll find the medical coding course to be more fulfilling than the things you might be replacing with it. We’re pretty good at filling our time with pseudo-relaxing activities like tv and scrolling.
Hi, Jenn. My journey in widowhood has been an experience of being in survival mode since December 11, 2011. One week ago today, the energy shifted. My butterfly self has emerged from the cocoon but my wings are not yet dry. I hope to be there for your Wednesday creative group. At my age one can never be certain about anything. 😁 ☮️❤️🙏
Oh Sue Ellen, that is many long years to be in survival mode I’m sending you so much love and encouragement for this phase of your journey. And I hope I see you Wednesday. (None of us can ever be certain about anything—that’s the reality of life!)
Yes! Both of the above. Also good for processing emotions through the body/nervous system!
Taking walks can be a great way to either sort through difficult thoughts, or completely empty the mind. A meditation of sorts. Keep going!
I’m so proud of you, and so happy to hear about all the ways you are taking care of yourself. You have been on my mind lately.
